Limited 12-month Warranty

Tefal warrants its appliances to be defect-free in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months in the case of domestic use (or 3 months in the case of commercial use) from the date of purchase (Warranty Period), which is your guarantee of Tefal reliability.

Should your appliance develop any defect during the Warranty Period, it should be returned, at your cost, to the retailer from which it was purchased.   The retailer will then forward your warranty claim directly to us.  Alternatively, you may contact:

If your warranty claim is accepted, Tefal will, at its cost, replace or repair the appliance in its discretion. If the warranty claim is not accepted, Tefal will inform you and if requested to do so by you, repair the appliance provided you pay the usual charges for such repair. You will be responsible for all costs associated with collection of the appliance from Tefal if the warranty claim is not accepted.

Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired.  Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

This warranty only applies where a defect arises, wholly or substantially, as a result of faulty material or workmanship during the Warranty Period.

 This warranty does not cover:

·                defects caused by:

- the appliance not being used in accordance with its operating instructions;

- accidental damage;

- handling by any common carrier;

- abuse, misuse, accident, abuse, fire, floods, exposure to liquids, thunderstorm activity, acts of God or tampering; or

- normal wear and tear;

·                samples and demonstration units;

·                maintenance or replacement of any consumable items; or

·                accessories  that by their nature and limited lifespan require periodic renewal, including but not limited to filters and seals; or

·                any consequential loss or damage.

Tefal reserves the right not to replace any packaging, instructions, or recipe books unless faulty.

This is a limited warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Tefal excludes liability to you in respect of the appliance (including liability for negligence and liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage such as loss of enjoyment).  If an implied warranty or condition that cannot be excluded is breached, Tefal limits its liability, at its option, to repairing the appliance, replacing the appliance or paying for the cost of replacing the appliance or of acquiring an equivalent appliance.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.  You are entitled to replacement or refund for major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.  You are also entitled to have your goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

In order to make a claim under this warranty you must have the original proof of purchase documentation for the Product and present it when requested.
