Apple and Plum Crumble

This Apple and Plum Crumble combines steamed fruit with orange zest and a buttery almond oat topping, air-fried to golden perfection. Serve hot or cold with ice cream for a quick, delicious dessert.

Apple and Plum Crumble Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 large apples, cored and quartered
  • 2 ripe plums, cored and quartered
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Juice of an orange
  • Zest of an orange

Crumble Ingredients:

  • 100g cold butter
  • 1/2 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup almond meal
  • 1/3 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  1. Place the cored and quartered apples in the air fry basket and set to steam at 100C for 15 minutes
  2. Remove and place the apples in a large bowl
  3. Add the plums, caster sugar, vanilla, juice and zest, and mix to combine
  4. Pour the mixture into the Accessories Pack cake tin and allow to rest for 10 minutes
  5. In another bowl, add all the crumble ingredients and rub together to form a crumb (No lumps of butter should be seen)
  6. Spoon the crumble on top of the apple ensuring an even spread
  7. Set to “Air Fry” for 10 minutes at 190 ̊C or until the crumble is golden brown
  8. Serve hot or cold with ice cream
