Place some pear and ginger cake on each of the 4 pieces of baking parchment. Mix the lime juice and honey with the four spice powder and the seeds scraped from the vanilla pod. Drizzle this mixture onto the pears. Cut the vanilla pod into 4 and divide among the 4 packets. Close the packets tightly.
Steam for 15 minutes with the starter and the main dish.
When they have finished cooking, serve the packets and let the guests open them up themselves to enjoy all the aromas.
