Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 500 g of braising or casserole steak, cubed
  • 200 g of chopped onion
  • 300 g of peeled sliced (1.5 cm chunks) carrots
  • 75 ml of beef stock
  • 200 ml of Irish stout
  • 1 Dried bayleaf
  • 3 Sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 0.5 tsp Sugar

Preparation

Add oil.

Brown meat and onion, in batches, if necessary.

Add all the remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.

Cooking time: 35 min.

Remove bayleaf and thyme. Thicken with cornflour. Season and serve!
