Ingredients

  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 2/3 lbs boneless skinless chicken cubed
  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

1. Peel the onion and garlic. Place in the bowl fitted with the ultrablade knife and mix at speed 11 for 10 seconds.

2. Replace the ultrablade knife with the mixer. Add olive oil and bacon. Launch the P1 simmer program at 270°F for 5 minutes.

3. At the end of the program, add chicken, prunes, chicken broth, white wine, brown sugar, oregano and cornstarch. Season with salt. Launch the P2 simmer program at 200°F for 30 minutes. For the first 5 minutes, leave the stopper off to let the alcohol evaporate.

4. At the end of cooking, serve with pasta or rice.
