Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 0,5 tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 0,5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cups of milk

Preheat the waffle maker.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

In a second bowl, beat together the egg yolks and sugar. Add the vanilla extract, the melted butter and the milk. Whisk.

Mix the dry and wet ingredients together.

In a third bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric hand whisk for about 1 minute. Using a spatula, gently fold the egg whites into the waffle batter. Do not overmix as doing so will break the egg whites.

Grease the waffle maker with melted butter. Pour in a ladleful of batter and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
