Banana and Hazelnut Spread Dessert Pizza | Tefal Recipe

A warm pizza base slathered in silky hazelnut spread, topped with sweet banana slices, crunchy praline and a dusting of icing sugar. Pure indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 blind-baked pizza dough
  • 50 g extra-fine semolina or spolvero (for dusting)
  • 100 g hazelnut spread
  • 100 g banana (1.5 pieces)
  • 10 g crushed praline
  • 1 pinch of icing sugar

Method

  1. Make the blind-baked pizza dough recipe.
  2. Using a spatula, work the spread until soft. If your spread is difficult to spread on the pizza, you can warm it in a bain-marie or microwave to make it runnier. Peel and slice the bananas.
  3. Place the blind-baked dough on a serving plate. Spoon the hazelnut spread into the centre of the pizza (around 100 g per pizza). Cover the entire pizza with the spread. Place the banana slices on top, add the crushed praline and sprinkle with icing sugar.
  4. To make sure the dusting is even and uniform, place the icing sugar in a tea ball infuser or small sieve, then gently pat to sprinkle the sugar over the pizza. Slice, serve and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Crushed praline is a mixture of caramelised almonds and hazelnuts. You'll find them in the pastry section of large supermarkets, in specialist pastry shops or online. You can substitute it with crushed hazelnuts.
  • If you have an infrared thermometer, measure the cooking temperature on the rotating stone: 380-430°C.
