Chili Chocolate Lava Cakes

Ingredients
- 150g dark chocolate
- 125g unsalted butter
- A pinch of chilli powder (or cayenne pepper)
- 2 eggs
- 3 ½ tbsp caster sugar
- 70g self-raising flour
Optional:
- Whipping cream
- Fresh berries
Method
- Beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Melt the chilli, chocolate and butter in a bowl over Bain marie or in the microwave.
- Combine the two mixtures then fold in the flour.
- Grease 4 ramekins and fill in with the batter.
- Bake at 190°C for 9 minutes.
- Turn ‘upside down’ after resting the cakes for 2 minutes.
- Serve warm with berries and whipped cream.
