Ingredients
- 10 g butter
- 20 g caster sugar
- 200 g dark cooking chocolate
- 60 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 50 g caster sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
Method
- Butter the inside of the soufflé moulds and sprinkle with sugar. Lightly tap the moulds upside down on a board to remove any excess sugar. Place the moulds in the fridge while you prepare the pastry.
- Break the chocolate into pieces and add to a bowl. Add the butter. Melt in the microwave then stir to obtain a smooth and uniform texture.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Place the egg whites into a mixing bowl. Set the yolks aside in a small bowl.
- Preheat the oven. Turn on the appliance. Select the BAKE program at 180°C and set the cooking time to 5 min. Press START.
- Meanwhile, using an electric mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff. When they become fluffy, add the salt while continuing to whisk. Once firm, pour the sugar in a continuous stream while whisking.
- Add the yolks to the bowl containing the chocolate/butter mixture and mix vigorously to obtain a smooth texture. Gently fold in the egg whites with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into the moulds and place them on the baking tray. Put the baking tray in the middle position in the oven.
- Turn on the appliance. Select the BAKE program at 180°C and set the cooking time to 17 minutes. Press START.
- Serve immediately. Serve with a seasonal fruit salad or whipped cream.
