This recipe is created by Tefal brand ambassador, Lorena Lys, and baked in the Turbo Cuisine Maxi & Fry.

1. Place the chopped apples, sugar and water into a saucepan and simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes or until apples are soft. Drain and set aside. 2. Cream butter and sugar together in a food processor (or i-Companion XL). Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 3. Add flour and slowly add milk, beating to combine. Add the stewed apples to the batter and mix well. Pour batter into a 22 cm lined spring form cake tin. 4. Arrange the remaining sliced apples in a pinwheel fashion on top of the cake and sprinkle with cinnamon. Brush with apricot jam until glossy. 5. Place cake tin into the Turbo Maxi Cuisine and Fry bowl. Close the lid without locking it and select the program “Bake”. Press the timer dial and turn the control knob to reach 1 hour and 10 minutes. 6. When the time is up, open the lid and set lid aside. Replace it with the Crispy Lid and set the Crispy Lid program 2 “Grill” for 10 minutes – checking after 5 minutes to see if the top of the cake is golden. 7. Serve apple cake warm with double cream or custard.
